About
I am a first year doctoral student at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Oxford co-advised by Prof. Bálint Koczor, Prof. Simon Benjamin, and Prof. Artur Ekert, as well as a graduate researcher at Quantum Motion. I go by the name George in daily life.
My research interests include investigating quantum and classical algorithms that can be used to better exploit the power of quantum computation, as well as exploring applications, such as chemistry, machine learning, and optimisation, where quantum computers may potentially provide advantages over their classical counterparts.
Before starting my DPhil in Oxford, I previously graduated from the National University of Singapore with a BComp in Computer Science, where I specialised in theoretical computer science, algorithms, and artificial intelligence. I completed my bachelor's dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Patrick Rebentrost and Prof. Rahul Jain and later worked as a research assistant at the Centre for Quantum Technologies with Prof. Rebentrost.
